Bangalow,    the home of Beacon.

Bangalow is the official home of Beacon Laundry. This social enterprise was built around a community need and a market opportunity, and today we’re thriving.

We officially opened our doors in April 2024, with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and local Federal MP Justine Elliot joining us to mark the special milestone.

Today we have 100 employees from a variety of backgrounds, and the laundry is humming.

Mel is an absolute gift. As one of our first laundry legends, Mel has progressed quickly up the ranks and now leads the People and Pathways team.

Louie loves doing business with people who appreciate a quality product and service, while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
Marty Isherwood
Marty IsherwoodTeam Leader
Marty oversees the laundry floor and all employees on the tools. He brings his calm under pressure from years in hospitality, along with his more recent experience in counselling with disadvantaged youth. He’s a gift.
Harriet Vasey Pederson
Harriet Vasey PedersonPeople and Pathways Coordinator
Harriet is our resident problem solver in the People and Pathways team, and the unofficial in-house comedian. She cares deeply about our team and is always making us laugh.
